Classic Baked Potato

Cold winter comfort food? Easy summer meal? Versatile, adaptable and easy. This basic baked potato recipe is suitable for any occasion and anyone’s skill level. Read on for a Spunky recipe!

Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes of choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • black pepper
  • Optional: butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, spring onions

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 200˚C.
  2. Place the potatoes on a sprayed baking pan. Pierce the potatoes and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake in the oven for 50 minutes to 1 hour or until soft and browned.
  4. Cut the top of the potatoes down the centre in an ‘X’ and spread out.
  5. Spread butter, add spring onions and cheese. Place under the grill for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  6. Top with sour cream and enjoy!
